OMG.... I just love this girl to pieces!

Caitlin started working with me a few months and I must say she makes my days even more enjoyable!

Last week we went to downtown Greensboro for some senior pictures and we had quite an adventure....let's just say there are some interesting people walking around at nine in the morning!

I had the privilege of taking the lovely O'Rourke family's pictures about two years ago and boy were they cute and awesome! So of course I was excited when I got an email from sweet Kristy asking if I'd be up for round two. Little Jack sure is growing up fast and growing up cute, so it was super easy to get great pictures with him as my model! Here is a small tidbit of our photoshoot.

I'm proud to say that Alyssa is one of the bestest, awesomest, beautifulest friends I have and she was kind enough to ask me to take her senior portraits! What a fun afternoon we had running around downtown for hours ignoring no trespassing signs (shhhh). Here's some of the pictures we took.

This is the Ravish family.... boy are they pretty!!! I don't know if there is a sweeter, prettier family than this! I had a blast taking pictures of them, because not only are they natural in front of the camera, but it was like I was hanging out with my dearest friends all afternoon.

Dominican Cuties

I just got back from my second mission trip to the Dominican Republic...today!

While there we did a ton of stuff: medical clinics, "VBS", visited an orphanage, and installed water purification systems....but here I have pictures of some of the most joyful reasons I go, the kids. The kids in the D.R. are beautiful, kind, and generous. Each kid is amazing.

But don't take my word for it, see for yourself.

today we had a family outing to the zoo. it was a bit chilly, we had a few

breakdowns, but over all we had some fun! here are some pictures from our lovely day.

So, I went on a missions trip with my church Triad Community Church to the Dominican Republic and it was awesome! We left November 8th and stayed until the 15th.

Our mission was to install water purifiers and to hold clinics in the local communities. One child dies every eight seconds from a water born illness, that’s 6,000 children every day. Our goal was to save as many of those lives possible.

We had several groups go out into the communities and install the purifiers while the rest of our group set up medical clinics. These clinics gave people the chance to see a doctor which they otherwise may have never been able to. We handed out various medications including medicine to rid them of the parasites they contracted from unclean water, cold medicine, and vitamins.

After they had gone through the “pharmacy” we would hand out shoes to those who had none or had some that were in poor shape. The shoes were needed because people could be re-infected with parasites from walking barefoot in untreated water.

Saturday

we went for a walk close to where we were staying and visited

a church we were going to attend that evening

and then there were kids.

When we got back from our adventure we got down to business and started sorting out the medication so it would be ready for the next day.
Later that evening we went back down the street to visit during their church service. Thank the Lord it was at night! It was quite toasty in that tiny little building, I can only imagine how hot it would be if the service was during the day!
after church, we handed out glow sticks and played with the kids

Monday

we piled in two cars and headed off to do our first clinic

by the time we got there, there were tons of people crowding

we went to visit the orphanage some of the team

these kids were so much fun. I don't think a single team member

didn't want to take at least one kid home with them.

that night we went to the church of one of our drivers.

we had a wind-down day and took a trip to the beach.

Saturday
this homeless woman was on our street everyday. and each day we gave her something, either food or water. the last day we tried to give her clothes but she wouldn't
take them.

Jack = wow! This ball of energy is sweet, cute, and a blast to chase after. I don't think I've ever had to work that hard to take pictures, but I loved every minute. His parents and I spent that beautiful morning running after Jack trying get pictures of more than than the back of his head. ;) And boy was it worth it!

On a very windy and cold October day, I did a session for Jennifer and her two georgous daughters. These girls were pros! They did an awesome job in front of the camera, up until little Gracie fell and scraped her arm (she wan't too into taking pictures after that).

This is the second session I've done with baby Kylie, the last one was last year about this time.
Now, a whole year later, she is almost two and cute as ever! She is one of the most serious babies, but a complete doll at the same time. Her mom brought her Halloween costume for some fun pictures so here's baby fairy Kylie!

Today I did a session for two wonderful families Chad & Sarah and Matt & Michelle (who have unbelievably cute babies)! I met Chad & Sarah at church two years ago, they just so happen to be the best children's Pastors a kid could ask for. And I met the lovely duo Matt & Michelle today, they just so happen to be Sarah's brother and his wife.
Even though it was a bit chilly, we had a slam dunk session. We had animal noises, dads jumping up and down, and a whole bunch of the "peanut butter and jelly song". Oh yeah, life is good.

This is an awesome family. Joy is acutually a friend of my aunt who saw some pictures of my cousins I had taken hanging in my aunts house. She called me and we set up a date to take some picutres of her family...and wow! How cute are they?! I just loved little Mackenzie's sweet face and energy, I could have taken picutres of her all day. Thanks auntie-poo!
